Metadata Search

Bluefactory Metadata Search allows you to find metadata information by entering a keyword. The search returns metadata components containing the keyword highlighted.

This feature is particularly useful when you know a piece of specific information (custom field name, apex variable, words in comment, function name …) but you do not remember its location, class name, line number, etc.

To access Metadata Search from the Bluefactory platform, click on the Change Tracker tab. Then, click on Metadata Search on the left menu.

In the following form:

  • Enter a keyword

  • Choose the Salesforce Org you wish to explore

  • Identify the corresponding metadata component type (optional)

Click on Search.
