Finding deleted records

Because every snapshot is a point-in-time copy, bluefactory can tell you what disappeared between runs — and give you the exact list.

Spot the drop

Open the backup and look at the Total Records Over Time chart and the run history: an unexpected dip in records is the first sign of a mass deletion. On a run's report, the Total Records card also shows the change versus the previous run, and the per-object table has a Changes column.

Get the exact list

  1. Open the run after the deletion happened.
  2. Open the affected object.
  3. In its Record History table, the run's Deleted count is a link — click it to download the CSV listing exactly which records were deleted.

Recover them

  1. Identify the last snapshot that still contains the records (the run before the drop).
  2. Go to Restore & SeedingStart a restore and pick that snapshot as the source.
  3. Scope the restore to the affected object, with a filter if you only need specific records.
  4. Review the pre-flight and launch — see Restoring data.
Investigate first, restore second

Query the snapshot in the Query Console to review the records before restoring — and export the list to CSV if you need an approval first.
