Create your account

bluefactory runs entirely in your browser — there is nothing to install, and no package is added to your Salesforce org.

Sign up with Salesforce​

bluefactory uses Salesforce sign-in (OAuth) to create your account — your first Salesforce login creates your account automatically. Your Salesforce password is never shared with bluefactory: the sign-in happens on Salesforce's own login page, and Salesforce only confirms your identity to us.

  1. Go to the bluefactory login page.
  2. Click Log in with Salesforce.
  3. Log in on the Salesforce page and authorize bluefactory.
  4. You are redirected back to bluefactory, and your workspace is created automatically.

On your first sign-in, bluefactory automatically creates:

  • Your account — the workspace that holds your team, settings, and subscription.
  • Your first connected org — the Salesforce org you signed in with is connected and ready to back up.
  • Your user profile — you become the owner of the account, with full access to every module and setting.

You land on the Overview dashboard, where a Getting started checklist walks you through the first three steps: connect an org, schedule a backup, and turn on change tracking.

Always use the same Salesforce user

Sign in with the same Salesforce account every time. If you accidentally sign in with a different Salesforce user, a second, separate bluefactory account is created — contact support and we'll clean it up for you.

Signing in with email and password​

The login page also offers Log in with email for accounts that have a password set. If your account normally signs in with Salesforce, use the Salesforce button instead — the form will remind you if you mix them up.

To reset a Salesforce password, use "Forgot your password?" on the Salesforce login page; nothing changes on the bluefactory side.

Which Salesforce user should I use?​

Use a user with the API Enabled permission and read access to the data you want to protect. Many teams create a dedicated integration user for bluefactory so that backups don't depend on a specific person's account.

Starting free​

New accounts start on a free plan — no credit card required. You can connect an org, run backups, track metadata changes, and explore the modules right away. When you outgrow the free limits, upgrade under Settings → Billing. See Billing for what each plan includes.
