Notifications
bluefactory sends two kinds of email so the right people know how your data protection is doing — without flooding anyone's inbox.
Per-run result emails
Each backup or archive can email its result when a run finishes. You configure this on the backup or archive itself (when creating or editing it):
- Notify when a run finishes — send the result email every run.
- Failures only — stay quiet unless something went wrong.
- Recipient — the address to notify.
The email includes the run's date, object/record/file counts, its status, and a link to the full run report.
Summary digests
Settings → Notifications manages scheduled summary emails that roll up a period's activity — backup runs, archive runs, and metadata changes — into one email per recipient, per org.
- Pick the Salesforce org.
- Enter the recipient's email.
- Choose the frequency: Daily summary or Weekly summary.
- Tick which modules to include: Backups, Archives, Metadata changes.
- Click Add recipient.

Each subscription can be edited in place: change the frequency (Daily, Weekly, or Never to pause it), toggle it Active, adjust the included modules, or delete it. If a period has no activity, no email is sent.
The digest's subject line flags trouble — e.g. "Weekly summary for Production — 2 need attention" — so a healthy week is glanceable and a bad one stands out.
Who receives what — a sensible setup
- The admin who owns backups: per-run emails with Failures only on every production backup.
- The wider team / management: a Weekly summary per production org.
- Auditors or compliance: a digest including Metadata changes for the orgs they care about.
